Carl G. Anderson, Jr.
Chairman of the Board
Mr. Anderson has extensive management experience in both the life science industries and consumer products. Mr. Anderson is the former Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Arrow International, Inc., a leading manufacturer of medical devices for both critical care and cardiac assist applications. Mr. Anderson has held executive level positions with ABC School Supply, Inc., James River Corporation, Procter & Gamble and Nestle Foods Corporation. Mr. Anderson served as a director of Carpenter Technology Corporation and several private companies. Mr. Anderson graduated from Lehigh University Graduate School of Business Administration in 1972 and Lafayette College in 1967 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970.
Ronald W. Schutz, MD, FACC

Dr. Schutz is a board certified cardiologist and Fellow of the American College of Cardiology with nearly 35 years experience in cardiac ultrasound. He has developed other medical devices that resulted in successful start-up ventures. B.S., Phi Beta Kappa, and MD, University of Illinois. Cardiology Fellowship, former Assistant Professor of Medicine and Director of the Adult Echocardiography Laboratory, Oregon Health Sciences University.
James T. Hatlan
President and CEO
Mr. Hatlan has over 35 years of management experience in both the medical device and consumer products. Mr. Hatlan is the former Senior Vice-President of Research, Development and Engineering and the World Wide Supply Chain for Arrow International, Inc., a leading manufacturer of medical devices for both critical care and cardiac assist applications. Mr. Hatlan has held executive level positions with ABC School Supply, Inc., James River Corporation, Procter & Gamble and Tambrands, Inc. Mr. Hatlan holds undergraduate degrees in Physics and Mathematics from Southeast Missouri State University and a M.S. degree in Engineering Management from the Missouri University of Science and Technology (formerly the Missouri School of Mines).
Bernard M. Mara
Vice President of Engineering
Mr. Mara has over 30 years experience in medical devices, consumer products and specialty steel. He previously held positions as Vice President of Engineering for Carpenter Technology Corporation, Arrow International and as Vice President of Operations for ABC School Supply. While at Carpenter he oversaw the construction and start up of a $500 million steel mill in Alabama. Similarly he was responsible for the construction of two new international facilities at Arrow International. Mr. Mara holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
