The initial 8.5 MHZ Linear Probe is unique with its patented design. It incorporates a revolutionary approach to micro-array architecture and connector cabling design and has produced a platform technology where the transducer is miniaturized and centered on a finger-mounted probe.

History

A unique, linear transducer that is suited for vascular access, MSK and other applications including the “short axis” orientation that is needed for radial and femoral procedures:

Dr. Jonathon Roberts has indicated that “Ultrasound guided radial artery access is a technique that essentially overcomes difficult radial access, allowing for rapid radial artery cannulation, usually on the first attempt.”

Clinical Study Results

In a clinical study  SonicEye’s 8.5 MHZ linear probe was compared to a standard probe for carotid access with 16 participants.

Western University of Health Sciences/COMP Northwest conducted an assessment of the SonicEye® relative to traditional probes for 50 first year medical students. Results were published in the Journal of Ultrasound Medicine; 32:659–664:
